Leaders’ debate highlights Labor’s passion for Tasmania
Property Council hosts first leaders’ debate
Rebecca White demonstrates her determination to lead Tasmania
Labor firmly focussed on majority government
Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon has thanked the Property Council of Tasmania for hosting today’s leaders’ debate in Hobart and commended both leaders for their contributions.
“The people in the room and those watching online got a great opportunity to hear from both leaders,” Mr Bacon said.
“Labor Leader Rebecca White passionately explained the policies that will underpin economic growth and create opportunities for our state.
“Labor has put more than 100 policies on the table and we’re out in the community every single day talking to Tasmanians.
“We are excited about the next six months and the opportunity to put a strong case forward for a majority Labor government.
“The Government can pat itself on the back all it likes, but Labor is firmly focussed on the future and a positive agenda for Tasmania.
“Will Hodgman could have swallowed a fly and not spoken for the entire debate and Sarah Courtney would have still awarded him victory.
“We’ll let impartial judges discuss the result while we get on with working hard for Tasmanians.”
