Final 24 hrs to request replacement survey or access code …
… TO VOTE FOR EQUALITY AND A FAIRER AUSTRALIA
• All requests for replacement survey forms or secure access codes for online voting must be submitted by Friday 20 October 6pm.
• The ABS encourages everyone to get their surveys in the post by October 27 and voting closes November 7 (including online voting).
The Equality Campaign has today reminded everyone that tomorrow is the last chance to order a replacement form or a Secure Access Code in the marriage equality postal survey. All requests must be submitted by Friday 20 October 6pm.
Former Olympic legend and Equality Campaign Ambassador Daniel Kowalski encourages Australians to make their vote count.
“Anyone who has a spoiled or damaged survey or has yet to receive their survey in the post needs to order a replacement by tomorrow,” Daniel Kowalski said.
“If you’ve lost your survey form, or if you need to vote from overseas, don’t miss this final chance to make your YES vote count and have your voice heard.
“While almost 11 million surveys have been returned, there are millions of surveys still out there so it’s important to get every possible YES vote in the mail by October 27,” he said.
Angie Greene of the Equality Campaign said, “Participating in the survey provides everyone with an opportunity to shape Australia as a fairer and more equal place for all.
“Time is also running out for the more than a million Australians who are working or travelling overseas to make their voices heard by asking a trusted friend to fill out and return the survey on their behalf or by voting online with a secure access code. It is vital that no Australian misses out.
“There are many surveys still outstanding so post yours and remind your friends and family to do the same. You can find the nearest post box at https://voteyes.org.au/.
“Supporters of equality and fairness cannot be complacent. We urge anyone who has misplaced their survey form or has had it damaged to contact the ABS to request a replacement form by tomorrow,” she said.
