Two men have been found guilty of manslaughter, aggravated sexual assault and hiding evidence over the death of Lynette Daley, bringing a six-year long campaign for justice to an end.

Daley, then 33, died in 2011 after the men sexually assaulted her on a beach in northern New South Wales. Paul Maris and Adrian Attwater were charged following her death, but the NSW director of public prosecutions repeatedly declined to press charges, prompting accusations from Daley’s family and supporters that the case was indicative of the justice system’s indifference toward violence against Indigenous women.
