TasWater takeover Bill passes Lower House
I am pleased that the Hodgman Government’s legislation to takeover TasWater has cleared its first hurdle.
This is the first step to Tasmanians receiving better water and sewerage services sooner and at lower prices, without putting upward pressure on rates.
The Bill will now head to the Upper House, where if it passes, means the Government will take control of TasWater from July 1 next year.
