Something more than untreated trauma …
Some men detained on Manus feel that something more than untreated trauma, confinement and mental illness contributed to the death of Hamed. Some suspect that locals were involved.
Hamed’s condition seems to have been exacerbated by prolonged offshore detention and then isolation once turned over to the “care” of the PNG Government. Clearly, the PNG government is not equipped to care for Hamed.
He was Iranian and and a guitarist.
In other news, a refugee bashed by locals has a skull fracture.
20 men have gastro. Water to their compounds was turned off last week.
