The Equality Campaign has today released a call to action video with Equality Campaign ambassadors Ian Thorpe and Ryan Channing. The video calls on all Australian supporters of marriage equality to register and update their electoral details so that they can vote ‘Yes’ if we are faced with a postal plebiscite.

“If you support marriage equality you need to enrol to vote or update your details by August 24 and you can do that online,” Equality Campaign Ambassador, Ian Thorpe said.

“Enrol to vote or update your details today at www.aec.gov.au,” Ian Thorpe added.

“Every Australian should have the right to take the plunge with the person they love,” Ryan Channing said.

Tiernan Brady, Executive Director of The Equality Campaign said “This is about members of our families, our friends and work colleagues. Marriage Equality has the support of the Australian people but we have to all enrol if we are to ensure their will is reflected in this survey.

“People have only until Thursday to check that they are on the register and update their addresses so that every Australian can have the same dignity and aspirations.

“We encourage all supporters of marriage equality to get on board at equalitycampaign.org.au,” Tiernan Brady said.
