Tasmania’s Foundry ( https://foundry.com.au/ ) have revealed they are taking their Guest Speaker program to the next level – engaging mentors who have designed for the likes of MySpace, Adidas and Sony to the state this Wednesday – as well as confirming plans for an international speaker event in the state this November.

The Guest Speaker program sees Foundry bring some of the best creatives in Australia to Tasmania to speak to students enrolled in the organisation’s creative education programs, in order to provide local students with direct access to some of the nation’s best industry minds. The program has also recently opened up seats to professionals, businesses and industry.

“The program allows our local Tasmanian students access to some of the best ideas, thinking, experience and entrepreneurial styles in the design and creative space in Australia,” Founding Director Chris Billing said.

“That we are able to now attract speakers of this calibre to Tasmania, means our local students – and now also local businesses, industry and interested professionals – are able to access new learnings, ideate and network at a national level and beyond – right on their doorstep.”

Foundry will also be revealing details of its Tasmanian-first creative industry mentoring program The Divide – which will bring some of the best design thinkers from brands like Google, SONOS and WIRED – to Tasmania this November:

Key speakers include …
