Every once in a while someone comes into your life who leaves an indelible mark.
St John of God Sister Sarto Salmon is for me one such as these.
I was saddened to hear of her recent passing and her young, refreshing, charismatic and dynamic essence passes across my memory as it were just yesterday.
Out of family’s reach, isolated and a new baby on the way she threw a lifeline that will last for generations.
I can still visualize her standing at the hospital entrance, the wind blowing her white veil anxiously waiting for my arrival driving myself towards her and the new babe soon to enter into another world under her watchful eye.
Thank you dear Sarto until another time.
