Since the very beginning, Xavier Rudd’s ability to connect with people has been his most powerful gift. The more he has toured the world, the more hearts he has touched and the more of the world he has put back into his music.
‘Follow The Sun’ (Live) is the first taste from a double live album set for release in early 2017. Originally released on the 2012 #2 ARIA charting, Gold accredited album Spirit Bird, ‘Follow The Sun’ went on to become a #1 iTunes single in Europe, was accredited Gold in Australia and has been streamed well over 30 million times.
With the success of ‘Follow The Sun’ and his music resonating throughout Europe like never before, Xavier embarked on a 28 date sold out tour in the European Summer of 2016. Playing a set list that read like a career retrospective over a solid two-hour show, he wowed audiences from the UK to Germany, the Netherlands to Spain and everywhere in between with the energy and spirit he brought to the stage. The recording of the last show of that tour, held at TivoliVredenburg in the Netherlands, will become the forthcoming live album.
