Our fourth concert this year, Piano Cello, features Karen Smithies with Ivan James, playing two quintessential pieces for the piano cello repertoire from Brahms and Beethoven and a lovely piece from Cinderella by Prokofiev. The Brahms is dramatic, fiery and passionate; the Beethoven rebellious and innovative; the Prokofiev appealing for its passion.
