Moonah Arts Centre, September 9: Ethereal Ensemble
Ethereal Ensemble is one of Hobart’s leading folk groups and kicks off the September concerts on Friday 9th with a collection of original and inspired music.
This is Hobart’s leading folk duo of Helen Morrison and Lynne Griffiths that combines harp, flute, cello and keyboard to create a world of beauty and imagery.
Ethereal Ensemble has performed in many festivals and community events over the last decade in the greater Hobart area. They have produced several professional recordings of their music and soon to release a book of their music verse and photography.
Tim Jones and the Big Cheese perform for the second time at the MAC on 16th September. Tim Jones, who plays tuba with the TSO formed the band in 2012 as a vehicle for his tuneful tuba playing and singing. This is a wonderful and lovable collection of groovy pop, jazz and show tunes. It’s an impressive ensemble of accomplished musicians that regularly plays at MONA and Hot August Jazz, that shouldn’t be missed.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for all Friday Night Live gigs. Bar is open from 5.30pm with one hour performances from 6pm.
This fantastic performance is part of the Moonah Arts Centre FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE program which is subsidised by Glenorchy City Council. Tickets are available on the night for $5.00.
