EL SALVADOR open the LatinAmerican Film Festival in Hobart

The “The Crow’s Nest, a film from the Central American country, El Salvador will open the Latin American Film Festival in Hobart on Friday 19 August in the Stanley Burbury Theatre, at the University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay. The film has received global recognition in Canada, the United States and Germany.

On the opening night the Salvadorian community, one of the biggers and old Spanish speaking communities in Tasmania, will have the opportunity to showcase part of their culture such as traditional food, customs, music and dances.

The film festival is open to the public and the entire program is FREE of charge! All films will be subtitled in English.

The festival runs from 19 to 28 August with Latin American films from 13 different countries, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador and Guatemala.
