Volunteers Application Form

Thanks very much for volunteering to be part of the 2016 Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival. Whether this is your first BOFA or you are a returning volunteer we look forward to welcoming you to the team.

Patron surveys after the last two festivals have confirmed what we suspected all along – that our team of volunteers is our most valuable asset. We aim to have a big team of happy festival stewards who are approachable, well informed and friendly. In return for your time, we will provide you with a BOFA t-shirt to keep, refreshments, tickets to films, and an invitation to the BOFA after-party.

There will be a wide variety of roles including crowd and event management, food and drink service, VIP liaison and transport, and ticketing. There are also new types of roles emerging in 2016 which will see volunteers take some ownership of specific films and events. Some of you may prefer to stick to a well-defined role for the duration of the Festival whereas others may like to try a variety of things. We will do our best to cater for your preferences.

The more volunteers we have the fewer hours each volunteer will be asked to work. So please do spread the word (and the work) and invite your friends and family!
