Directions Theatre’s is Hobarts prime Shakespeare production company, each year audiences look forward to their annual production in the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. This year they bring the much loved comedy, Much Ado About Nothing. The Gardens is the perfect setting for this romantic comedy that contains moments of slide splitting hilarity, of astounding poetry, of music and of staggering theatrical intensity.

Two sets of lovers share the focus in this romantic comedy. Claudio and Hero, who despite numerous obstacles are eventually brought together, and Benedick and Beatrice who enjoy bickering with one another and declaring their immunity to love’s charms until an elaborate ruse succeeds in drawing out their true feelings.

This show is suitable for all who love the poetry and prose of Shakespeare and anyone who has ever fallen in love.

Much Ado About Nothing features the talents of local actors Kallista Adkins, Andy Aisbett, Brent Basstian, CJ Bowers, Meg Brockie, Simone Dobber, Christopher Forbes, Tai Gardener, Jared Goldsmith, Michael Hutch, Lillie McNamara, Emma Skalicky, Matt Wilson, Bella Young.
