Submit to two really important reviews …

These are two really important reviews which need comment …

The first is a Bill which would make it illegal for coal and gas companies to gain access to land when the owner has refused entry. The second is a plan by the Federal Government to withdraw tax-deductible facilities for environmental groups.

• On 5 March 2015 the Senate referred the Landholders’ Rights to Refuse (Gas and Coal) Bill 2015 for inquiry and report.

The closing date for submissions is 29 May 2015. The reporting date is 7 August 2015.

• On Thursday 26 March 2015 the Committee adopted an inquiry referred by the Minister for the Environment, the Hon Greg Hunt MP, asking the Committee to inquire into and report on the Register of Environmental Organisations.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference by 21 May 2015.
