A Modern Build Tasmania – Asante, Film Premiere @ State Cinema, 30 Oct

Flowing Image Productions has produced the first Tasmanian Grand Design style documentary, ‘ A Modern Build Tasmania – Asante ‘. Built in 2013, Asante in conjunction with Island Workshop recently won the excellence award for Energy Efficiency from the Tasmanian Master Builders Association.

Asante boasts a 9.2 Passive Solar Nathers energy rating and was also designed around Feng Shui principles to accentuate its comfort and functionality.

Alexander Palmer is the local documentary maker and owner of Flowing Image Productions. This documentary is his first feature to be screened in Tasmania. “A Modern Build Tasmania – Asante, was filmed during most of 2013 and broke a lot of new ground for Tasmania, combining high precision pre fabricated materials and building techniques from Europe closely synergised with feng shui principles and the environment” Mr Palmer said.

“Asante really was a truly inspirational project where so many contributors melded seamlessly to build a stunning example of modern architecture that sets a great example for future Tasmanian houses” he said.

A Modern Build Tasmania – Asante will be screened in conjunction with the State Cinema for a One Night Only show on Thursday the 30th of October. All bookings can be made through the State.
