RICHARD WILKINS WINS BEST MUSIC SPECIAL METROPOLITAN AT AUSTRALIAN COMMERCIAL RADIO AWARDS

Australia’s premier television entertainment reporter, Nine Network’s Richard Wilkins has added radio hosting to his list of successes after taking home the award for Best Music Special Metropolitan at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards on the weekend.

With over twenty six years of experience in television entertainment under his belt, Wilkins’ recent foray into commercial radio has proven him to be a natural, having won the award after just eighteen months on air across weekend mornings for Smooth FM in Melbourne and Sydney.

An ecstatic Wilkins beamed, “I’m completely blown away by the award and share it with John Farnham who gave me the most amazing interview…and the incredible team at smooth who are such a joy to work with. Congrats all!”

DMG Radio Australia’s Group Programme Director, Paul Jackson was also thrilled with the result, saying, “Richard has been consistently outstanding on smoothfm since we launched.
