Jacob’s Journey

Jacob Butler has never been to Tasmania but believes it’s very progressive for a number of reasons. Of course he’s eager to see MONA. He thinks David Walsh is incredibly generous with his gift of the museum and he’s also very impressed with the fact that the University of Tasmania offers a singer/songwriter course as part of its bachelor music degree.

Jacob has been a contestant on Australian idol and X Factor and believes the shows shouldn’t’t be criticised as most of the contestants are actual musicians anyway although Australia didn’t give Jacob his musical break, he has made his mark overseas.

Jacob has attained fame in Europe, his modesty would suggest it’s because of his uniqueness as an Australian in foreign lands but the young man has appeared on almost every radio and TV show in Poland and that is not the only place where Jacob is a hot property.

Jacob has joined with some major labels including EMI in Greece, and Richard Branson’s label in Belgium.

As an independent artist Jacob has of necessity been involved in the production of his DVDs. ‘Kites’ an exhilarating single breathtakingly filmed in Switzerland and with a feel of ‘The Sound of Music’ owes much to his upgraded camera and vision! For his next DVD he has a director to help him take his vision to the next level.
