Launceston-Hobart, via the Central Highlands
I am committing to a massive attempt to ride from Launceston to Hobart via the Central Highlands on Friday November 18th. This is a tortuous 241km ride that is expected to take around 12 hours. I am already putting in long hours of training.
I am doing it for a good cause. We need to raise $10,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania, so they can purchase a cough assist machine. This machine is essential for sufferers of Muscular Dystrophy, as when they get a cold, they don’t have the strength to cough up mucus. They can become dangerously ill and are admitted to hospital for invasive procedures to rectify the problem.
