Wilkie surgery
The Independent Member for Denison, Andrew Wilkie, has been admitted to hospital in Hobart for unexpected but minor surgery to remove his gall bladder.
The medical advice is that Mr Wilkie will most likely be discharged from hospital tomorrow and be well enough to take his seat in Federal Parliament in Canberra on Monday for next week’s sitting.
And, all is well ….
The Independent Member for Denison, Andrew Wilkie, is recovering in the Hobart Private Hospital after a successful operation to remove his gall bladder.
Mr Wilkie was admitted to hospital this morning for the unexpected but minor operation.
Mr Wilkie said he expected to fly to Canberra on Sunday to be able to resume his seat in Federal Parliament on Monday.
