Scott McLean’s walk in the park: What I said
Unlike yourself Dave I have the courage to put my name to my work.
I write my own material.
I do my own filming.
I ask my own questions and write my own report.
I have written and reported for this website for nearly 6 years now and the editor and those who know me can vouch for my integrity.
What I did on Saturday, you won’t get from most commercial media outlets let alone from anonymous Labor hacks like yourself.
I wrote the 10 questions myself. I could have written another ten like them. I write my questions down Dave because I am very organised Dave. Forensic, well researched and organised Dave. If you are familiar with my work those 10 questions can be traced back to my own articles HERE.
Perhaps if your party was more organised and well researched Dave you would not have put such a controversial candidate up in Bass?
A candidate who has and always will attract protest.
When I posed my questions to Mr McLean I had camera in one hand and nothing in the other.
To say I was reading form a script is a lie. A lie and smear that I knew would come.
I had not intended to interrupt Mr McLean; however his posturing about jobs became too nauseating to bear.
So I excercised my democratic right, just like the yachtie on his yacht in dry dock did. You didn’t mention him Dave.
I put a few more questions to Mr McLean face to face after his speech. I took my glasses off and introduced myself to him. Face to face
You failed to mention that Dave or had you fled by then?
Indeed were you one of the Labor faithful who were hurling abuse at me whilst I was interjecting yet never had the courage to front me afterwards? Not one person, not one burly tattooed bloke or politician or even you Dave had the guts to say anything to my face afterwards, yet I watched as some ladies whom I won’t name were there confronting McLean and Adams.
Why not come and put your concerns to me as I did to Scott?
I’m glad you got a copy of my questions. I have submitted a copy for Tas times readers.
My footage which will be available in a day or two – and which is very clearly unedited – speaks for itself.
I knew I would be smeared and misrepresented after Saturday and dont expect that I have heard the last.
Tasmanians are sick of being abused by proper process and good governance being sidelined for one company.
People of the sick political culture fostered by the Labor Party. People are sick of Tasmanian politicians who promise to look after the public interest yet when they get elected compromise themselves and our democratic institutions to serve the business interests of Gunns and other logging affiliates.
Get used to it cobber.

My 10 questions:
1. On the news of the upcoming closure of Gunns Austins Ferry sawmill Mclean said…. “The job losses are part of a company restructure”. Question : Scott since when do union bosses make excuses for Corporations?
2. If elected Scott will you be seeking more taxpayer dollars for Gunns to build the Tamar Valley pulp mill?
3. Former Premier Paul Lennon resigned in 2008 with an approval rating of 17% mostly bought about by his personal obsession with Gunns pulp mill and his obvious bias towards the company and its interests. You have also been very close to Gunns and its Pulp Mill. Don’t you think Bass voters are sick of politicians who are appear to be representing Gunns interests and not theirs?
4. Many people are saying Scott Mclean is only running for Parliament to further the interests of the CFMEU & Gunns. Isn’t this true Scott.
5. If this is not true and Labor lose this election will you be running for the Liberals at a later stage. You supported the Liberal Party. After all you split the CFMEU by supporting the Liberals’ forests policy over Labor’s in 2004?
6. Scott, polls as well as the results of the last federal election, show that the majority of people in Bass oppose the Tamar Valley Pulp Mill. Are you listening to those people and how do plan to represent them?
7. You once inferred that pulp mill protesters were terrorists. Many mums & dads and young folk in this electorate have attended large protests against the Gunns Pulp Mill in Launceston. Do you still think they are terrorists?
8. Scott do you support the Premier’s Integrity commission and would you feel comfortable appearing before that commission to answer questions around Gunns withdrawal from the RPDC?
9. When did you first become aware that Gunns would withdraw from the RPDC and Premier Lennon was going to introduce fast track legislation?
10. Do you think the Gunns pulp mill assessment was corrupt?
