Signs of sheer stupidity…
Signs are essential to the normal functioning of society, but too many are a visual blight on the urban landscape.
I don’t know whether it is just me, but I find this one at the start of Romilly Street in South Hobart somewhat inessential, to say the least.
I’m still trying to figure out who it is aimed at.
Was someone paid to design and produce this in the belief that it will reduce the hordes of South Hobart residents known to rampage through Waterworks Reserve slaughtering wildlife on every full moon?
Can we expect a whole series of further irrelevant commands to appear on the power poles, such as, “Don’t beat up pensioners”; “Avoid sleeping in the middle of busy highways”; “Make sure you wear a jumper on cold days”; “Don’t crap on the pavement”?
Was ratepayer or taxpayer’s money spent on this irrelevancy? Would the author who came up with this bright campaign care to explain?
