GREENS TO ATTEND DAIRY FARMERS RALLY
State Parliament United in Tripartite Support
The Tasmanian Greens today confirmed that Leader Nick McKim MP will be attending the dairy farmers’ rally in Devonport tomorrow.
Mr McKim said that it is important that the farming community know that they have the support of all parties in the House of Assembly in their struggle against a company which is bleeding them dry.
“I will be proud to stand alongside my parliamentary colleagues and the dairy farmers who are doing it so tough at the moment, but who are not prepared to give up,” Mr McKim said.
“It is important for our farming community to know that they have rock-solid tripartite support behind them at both the Federal and the State levels, in their David and Goliath struggle against National Foods.”
“Our farmers deserve a fair go, and the Greens will continue to add our voice to that call.”
