Bartlett walks both sides of the street on pulp mill

Posted on

Since David Bartlett became Premier, the Government has had so many positions on the pulp mill it’s no wonder he had to write a letter explaining his latest position.

In his short time in charge, the Premier has taken just about every position imaginable, depending on which way he thought the political winds were blowing at the time, or who he was talking to.

The Tasmanian Liberals are the only party that has consistently supported the pulp mill from the beginning.

We believe that a pulp mill that meets strict federal and state environmental conditions will bring jobs and investment to Tasmania at a time when our economy needs it the most.

It is time for the Premier to stop sending out mixed messages and unequivocally get behind the pulp mill.

On a major issue such as this, David Bartlett cannot walk both sides of the street.
