Gunns pulp mill on the cheap?
BOB McMAHON
With the delivery of more pulp mill equipment imminent, questions are being asked as to the status of the equipment due to be delivered as well as the status of some of the equipment already delivered. “It has been alleged that much of the pulp mill equipment landed or due to be landed at Bell Bay is surplus or second hand,” said TAP spokesperson Bob McMahon. “If the allegations are true, far from the Longreach pulp mill being a world’s best practice, state of the art plant as has been repeatedly claimed, Gunns is hoping to construct a second hand mill on the cheap”, he continued.

Gunns pulp mill on the cheap?
Gunns due to take delivery of more pulp mill equipment.
“Mr Gay must inform the public whether second hand or surplus gear is to be used in his proposed mill. It is in the public interest to know and I trust the Australian media will obtain a clear answer from Mr Gay,” concluded McMahon
