Peter Boyer is right
Dr Frank Nicklason
PETER BOYER is spot on in calling for decisions relating to our responses to global climate change to be guided by rigorous scientific evidence rather than by political or commercial pressures.
With regard to accounting the carbon pollution associated with clearfell and burn forest conversion Forestry Tasmania have ignored their own scientists published results in the journal Tas Forests (2001).
They have also ignored results of the audit conducted by the group Timberworkers for Forests demonstrating massive waste, of valuable eucalypt and special species timber, by burning, in a 100 hectare mature, wet, mixed native forest coupe in the southern forests published online in 2002.
