Labor welcomes Health Minister Michael Ferguson making himself available to Tasmanians this week but his forums must be genuine.

Opposition Leader Bryan Green said the Health Minister must be prepared to answer questions as well as listen.

“Tasmanians want to know where cuts to health will be inflicted and what impact they will have on services,” Mr Green said.

“Michael Ferguson needs to answer questions about the future of health service delivery in regional areas.

“The Liberals promised a record investment in health but we know they’re slashing jobs in Tasmanian hospitals.

“Their promise to protect frontline services has already been broken.”
