To the story in today’s Examiner:
HERE: Giddings defends heavy metals probe
I have done a detailed examination of the DHHS Final report and the scope of their investigations into the health effects of Cadmium, Arsine gas and Arsenic and I have been astonished at their skimpy conclusions.
DHHS asessments of the source of and presence of Arsenobetaine from urinary arsenic tests from residents are blatantly wrong.
Their findings in relation to these toxic substances was so grossly deficient, it’s beyond belief.
Their medical incompetence in the DHHS investigation is the absolute disgrace, not the public statements from the Toxic Heavy Metals Taskforce expressing their lack of confidence in the DHHS Director of Health and his Deputy’s ability to oversee any reopening of the ‘old’ investigation.
Denial at any cost, or the backing up of bureaucrats credentials is not what I call an open and consultative approach with the community with Tasmania’s biggest health disaster looming.
Earlier on Tasmanian Times: HERE: No confidence in Dr Taylor (above) or Dr Pickin
