Work on the Kingston bypass should have started years ago.

It took the leadership of the Tasmanian Liberals prior to the 2006 State election – and later, funding from the Federal Government – to drag the State Government into getting behind this much needed infrastructure investment that has been talked about for 30 years.

And even with community support, council support, political support, and financial support, State Labor still hasn’t made a start to actual construction of the project, years down the track.

Labor has a blind-spot when it comes to investing in infrastructure for our future and struggles to actually deliver results.

Now is the time to get on with making this much needed project a reality.
