CHRIS GREEN
Quick! Shot!
That was what?
There, Dylan Thomas dashed
Black curly hair
Into that stone house
One
Of many staring at sea
Unblinking
Waiting
Flick! Flack!
What was that?
A whale boat
There
Nah
No whales now
Just crays
Oh..
Dip! Trip!
A forest, here?
On the nut?
Ssh…
Secret garden
Hiding
A convict there..
See..
Stop! Hear!
A voice is near
Keening
Highfield House
Walls drip grief
A child is dead
See the cart
An accident
Pierced the heart
Of a lonely house..
Turn! Back!
What was that?
In the distance
Now
Stanley
Fading
Echoes
Cling
A faint shading
Of the past
Everywhere….
Trip to Stanley 2008
