We need help. Oh yes indeed.

As we transition Tasmanian to a broader organisation with more coverage and more media product, by and for Tasmanians, we are seeking the following:

People Wanted

troll booters – moderators for social media and on-site comments

research ferrets – yep, you dig it up so we can dish it

Insta, etc. angels – social media account helpers

WordPress whiz – you know a bit about WordPress sites, plug-ins and all that jazz

newsletter hound – you can pick out some good stories each week and blast ’em to a list

cranky ranters and inspiring wordsmiths – tell us a story about something in your part of Tasmania. Go on!

word nerds – you have an eye for a tyop whoops typo and want to sub-edit

moving image mavericks – shoot, edit, produce, collaborate, subtitle and more

audio aces – audio recording and editing is your thing, even multi-tracking

debonair decorators – you can work with a low budget to make good looking sets for video shoots

vox poppers – you’d like to interview people in your area/group to help reflect what Tasmanians are thinking

soft soaper s- help integrate new volunteers into our activities

moneysmiths – great fundraising ideas gush forth from you like a Kunanyi spring

teachy people – you are capable of teaching live and/or online classes in digital media skills: recording, editing, production, content planning, marketing, digital photography and editing, and so on

designerissimos – logos, flyers, branding, graphics that sing (even yodel, hey)

ad-getters – your charm plus contacts plus determination sells our ad portfolio and we all live happily ever after

tooners – create political cartoons any style, any subject, fresh and modern, edgy

Tokkers – you know your way around TikTok and can help us develop a presence

Kafka’s nemeses – you can organise stuff gooooood

numberz yeah – statistics whiz

unicorns – completely unique, maybe even rainbow-coloured, you can do stuff we haven’t even dreamed of putting on this list. Oh my!

Some of these roles involve remuneration and/or expenses, while some are volunteer positions. Training will be provided where necessary. Maybe bling too, we like the idea of that. And there’s a whole lot of other stuff too: opportunities to learn, collaboration, event access, platforming, references, equipment, software and more.

The first step is to tell us about yourself, your skills and your interests by completing this form.

Stuff Wanted

lighting kit for video shoots, lights, stands

good quality microphones, microphone stands, wind socks, cables

stand-alone stereo recorders

audio mixer

tripods (for cameras, mobile phones)

soundproofing material

projection rig – screen, projector
