Lazy Labor a Day Late and Still Wrong

A day after the real Leader of the Opposition ran his latest scare campaign, the pretend Leader of the Opposition was at it today.

Memo to Mr Green: just because Mr Lynch said something yesterday doesn’t make it fact today.

I am absolutely confident that despite the competing scares from the real and pretend leaders of the Opposition, that Biosecurity Tasmania is sufficiently resourced to carry out its important functions.

We have bolstered biosecurity with a $5 million investment in additional front-line resources, three new detector dog teams and critical new infrastructure investment.

If Labor truly believes there should be an even greater investment in biosecurity, how would they pay for it, given they’ve already racked up a $1 billion black hole in unbudgeted promises?

Under our Government, tourism is booming, exports are growing and demand for our fresh, safe and premium produce is excelling.

Labor and the unions should stop their politically-motivated attacks and acknowledge all the great things that Tasmania has to offer.
