Deciphering digital data – are your online campaigns hitting the mark?

Tasmanian strategic communicators and marketers – this is a rare opportunity not to be missed!

The vast amount of data in this digital age creates robust PR and marketing challenges for every communicator, especially when it comes to analysing social media performance and online communication.
The Tasmanian PRIA Council presents a valuable afternoon session with an expert in the field of data analysis, who will offer useful insights into the latest analytic tools and techniques. Dr Daniel Angus from The University of Queensland will provide solutions from theory and practice to help you develop effective and leading online communication strategy. This session is a must for every communication practitioner who wants to stay ahead of the data analytics curve and add best practice expertise to their digital toolkit.

His presentation will:

• lift the lid on the jargon of online data analysis;
• unveil powerful and easy-to-use tools that gather and analyse data;
• share tools that produce visual maps of who is talking and what they are saying online about an issue;
• demonstrate how you can use these tools to monitor and manage issues in real time, and evaluate your communication practices; and
• discuss a case study analysing both traditional and online media coverage of family violence in Tasmania.
