Royal Commissioner Heydon should stand aside

Posted on

Senator Lambie has re-released yesterday’s media statement (12.8.15) regarding Royal Commissioner Heydon.

Senator Lambie has called on Royal Commissioner Heydon to stand aside given today’s disclosure that he was booked to speak at a Liberal Party fund raiser.

Senator Lambie notes that the initial Royal Commission into the QLD Health Crisis was shut down in September 2005 by a Supreme Court Judge after he found former Royal Commissioner Tony Morris QC to have displayed “ostensible bias”.

Senator Lambie further notes that the decision of “ostensible bias” was found by then Supreme Court Judge Justice Martin Moynihan, after Royal Commissioner Tony Morris QC allegedly got down from the bench and shook the hand of the hand of Toni Hoffman (Nurse Whistle Blower) after she’d given evidence. And after he allegedly displayed an aggressive style of questioning with Bundaberg Hospital administrators.
