Labor Leader Bryan Green is only interested in throwing rocks from the sidelines and trying to make cheap political points at the expense of the West Coast community.
In October, the West Coast Working Group released an interim report. As a result of this report Cabinet agreed to fund $2.471 million in projects recommended by the Working Group, all of which are either completed or in the process of being implemented.
This was in addition to bringing forward three years’ worth of funding commitments, made prior to the election, worth $750,000.
The West Coast Working Group will release its final report soon and fulfil the promise it made to the West Coast community last year after the closure of the Mt Lyell Mine.
The Liberal Government and Working Group have continued to liaise and keep West Coast community leaders informed on steps to help the community recover from the mine closure.
The West Coast community can be assured of our ongoing commitment to the region.
