Climate action for 2015 in Launceston is off with a bang! To kick start the year Climate Revival Launceston and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition are hosting a band night to raise money to assist a local business invest in rooftop solar.
Mark this in your diary: Friday 23rd January from 8.30pm to late at the Royal Oak, Corner of Brisbane and Tamar St, Launceston.
Our government is taking us backwards on climate change. Right now they are doing everything they can to expand the Abbot Point coal port in Queensland, and increase use of coal. We need to move beyond these dirty fossil fuels and move quickly to a future powered by clean energy. Our government is turning away clean energy investors, so we’re doing it ourselves!
PUBS & PANELS is the latest project of these Launceston groups. They have recruited 5 bands who are donating their performances to promote action on climate change and enable some immediate local action.
