Liberals’ Plan delivering while Labor is out of ideas

Posted on

The Liberals were elected with a clear Plan and we are getting on with the job of implementing that Plan.

Since the election, more than 6,000 jobs have been created, our commitments are being delivered and we are fixing the budget mess.

It’s nearly a year since Labor suffered one of the worst defeats in Tasmanian political history, yet they are still haven’t released a single alternative policy, yet alone an alternative budget.

Yesterday, we even had the unedifying spectacle of Michelle O’Byrne lecturing the Government on budget savings.

The Liberal Government has a Plan to fix the $1.1 billion budget mess we inherited.

Tasmania simply cannot afford to go on living off the credit card.

We understand that some of the decisions we are making aren’t popular but we are determined to fix the budget mess so that we can afford to provide essential services into the future.

But if Labor is going to criticise our Plan to fix the budget, it’s incumbent on them to put forward an alternative.

Labor spends a lot of time carping, whining and complaining, but they haven’t put forward a single specific alternative to fixing the $1.1 billion budget mess.

The fact is, we have a Plan, and Labor doesn’t. Until Labor comes up with at least one idea of their own they will simply have no credibility.
