Health Minister Michael Ferguson needs to release the report into the Royal Hobart Hospital redevelopment.
Shadow Health Minister Rebecca White said Tasmanians deserve to know what’s going on, especially given the $1 million price tag attached to the taskforce.
“Michael Ferguson needs to be upfront about his plans for the redevelopment,” Ms White said.
“There is increasing uncertainty over what the Liberal Government has planned for hospital services in Hobart and secrecy helps no one.
“Everyone is aware of the challenges associated with rebuilding on an existing site but that’s not a reason to keep people in the dark.
“What has the delay to the project cost taxpayers?
“Is Michael Ferguson serious about the possibility of building on a greenfield site?
“The Health Minister needs to be provide a detailed update as to what exactly is going on.”
