Tasmania tops the country in business confidence, conditions and employment
The Liberal Government’s number one priority is jobs, that’s why it’s so pleasing to see the results from today’s NAB Business Survey.
The Survey shows that once again, Tasmania has the nation’s highest level of business confidence, the best business conditions and importantly is outperforming all other states and territories when it comes to the employment index.
These results are no accident. Since the election around 3,000 jobs have been created, the economy is growing again, retail trade is at record highs, building approvals are up and businesses are showing that they have the confidence to employ more people and re-invest in their business and in Tasmania.
These results come on the back of the hugely successful TasInvest summit and visit by the Chinese President last month.
The Government has a long term Plan for Tasmania that is all about growing the economy and creating jobs and these latest results show that we are on the right track.
