Attorney-General must clarify payout situation
The Attorney-General, Vanessa Goodwin, must clear up whether the Government has been forced to pay out her Chief of Staff.
Shadow Attorney-General Lara Giddings said Ms Goodwin failed to address a simple question on the matter during today’s scrutiny hearings.
“It’s incumbent on the Government to be transparent about where taxpayers’ money is going,” Ms Giddings said.
“We are less than nine months into the life of this government, if there’s already been a substantial payout the public deserves to know.”
