A first for the Derwent Valley

Posted on

Had another breakthrough today.

Jan Everett the Red Cross emergency home alarms tas. State coordinator has agreed to pensioners paying for panic pendants monthly.

New are $400. 2nd hand are $200. Yearly monitoring fees are $220.

So a pensioner with a 2nd hand pendant with year of fees will now pay $35 per month for the 1st year or $55 with a new one.

This effectively frees up charities for other ventures and the pensioner is happy not asking for money.

Once again a 1st for the Derwent Valley!
