“The main thing, my concern, is to make sure that as Tasmanian senators we represent the state in the best way we can.
“I’m very proud of the record the Tasmanian senators have had, the Australian Greens Tasmanian senators, not only did we stand up for Tasmania in saying we don’t want to see the carbon price abolished – Jacquie Lambie voted for the abolition of the carbon price that’s cost Hydro $200 million in one year – also we’re standing up for the renewable energy target, that’s critical to Tasmanian’s future.
We’re also standing up for the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, have done for more than 25 years, and we don’t want to see it undermined and destroyed by Tony Abbott in cahoots with Will Hodgman. First of all trying to log it and then having been stopped from logging it wanting to build resorts and roads all over it.”
