Launch of Patsy Cameron’s long awaited Grease and Ochre by Anita Heiss, Fullers Bookshop, Sunday, April 3, 1pm
Fullers Bookshop is excited to announce the publication of an important book about Tasmanian Aboriginal history that will be launched by Dr Anita Heiss at Fullers Bookshop on Sunday, April 3 at 1pm.
Grease and Ochre is third in the series Studies in the History of Aboriginal People published by Fullers Bookshop. It is the story of the Coastal Plains people in Tasmania’s North East, their struggle and ultimately their survival.
Patsy Cameron is an Aboriginal Elder and a descendent of the famous Coastal Plains leader Mannalargenna. She was involved in the establishment of the Centre for Aboriginal Research and Education (now known as the Riawunna Centre for Aboriginal Education). She is a former deputy head of the Riawunna Centre in Launceston.
Dr Anita Heiss is an award winning best-selling author who has published nonfiction, historical fiction, chick lit, poetry, social commentary and travel articles.
She lectures on Indigenous Literature and her new book Paris Dreaming will be released by Random House this April.
