Orang-utans are still under threat. Nestlé continues to buy palm oil supplied by Sinar Mas – the company responsible for trashing Indonesian rainforests and destroying orang-utan habitat.
We need to keep the pressure on Nestlé to do the right thing.
At Nestlé’s Oceania HQ in Sydney this morning, six activists dressed as orang-utans greeted staff as they arrived at work. They asked Nestlé employees to email their international CEO and tell him to give rainforests a break.
Their message: Nestlé needs to cut all ties to Sinar Mas and take real action for a moratorium on deforestation. They need to take action now.
