Global warming is caused by an addiction to carbon based cheap energy by too many people.

If the world’s population was less there would be no global warming.

If the world used less carbon based fuel there would be no global warming.

Copenhagen is already turning into a battle over economics. The rich want to purchase the poor’s carbon credits for nothing. The poor want more. The politicians want to get re-elected and John Gay is selling off his shares.

Economists gave us the great depression, this current credit mess and numerous credit bubbles wot burst and, scientists gave us the A and H bombs, the three mile island, Chernobyl and an increase in the human lifespan, CEOs give us dioxin belching pulp mills and politicians only give us wars and lies. Their combined track records are to make things worse not better.

It is not the carbon that is wong. It is the abuse of carbon by too many sucking at the carbon energy teet.

As in any addiction abuse of the addictive substance, not the substance, is the problem.

As in any addiction abstinence is the only real solution; green condoms are needed not talk fests at Copenhagen.

As for what Kevin will say to our grandchildren about why we did to stop global warming before the world evaporated into a cloud of carbon dioxide and hot air, if we all live long enough for them to ask that is .. I fall back on Monty Python:

Not so silly really, pulp up all the surplus children, Gay can help do that he is an expert in pulping, then extract the stem cells and sell them to the scientists, scientist are good with that sort of thing and then a few really old politicians, priests and pulp millers can live a lot longer and use less carbon.
