A small group of writers has teamed up to start a blog called WriteResponse:
http://writeresponse.blogspot.com/
We met during the Arts Tas/Critical Acclaim project which took place over Ten Days on the Island last April, during which we wrote and published more than 50 articles and reviews online and in print, including Tas Times.
We then decided to start blogging as a means of fostering independent discussion about the arts in and from Tasmania, and as a means to profile the work of local practitioners.
So far the focus has been on performance, and we are aiming to continue expanding to encompass more visual arts and literature.
We really want this to be a venue for discussion, not somewhere were we bang on about what we think about a performance or creation and then flounce off to the next opening. We are also passionate about the need to maintain our independence; we write without fear or favour.
