Premier David Bartlett must immediately agree to establish in independent inquiry into the bungled Richard McCreadie non-appointment.
Mr McCreadie has today made a number of serious allegations surrounding his non-appointment as Acting Police Commissioner last year, and there remain many unanswered questions.
Nothing less than a full independent inquiry into the matter is warranted, especially given that David Bartlett’s mishandling of the matter brought the State to the brink of a constitutional crisis.
The Bartlett Labor Government is notorious for its secrecy and lack of transparency.
If the Premier fails to agree to an independent inquiry Tasmanians will know that, once again, David Bartlett has something to hide.
