Speeches were made, eulogies written. … Lambie is being remembered because she was a rare kind of politician: someone who didn’t emerge from the political class and seemed like a regular person. And while this is something that deserves to be acknowledged, too much of the commentary around her departure uses that as an excuse to ignore her regressive policies targeting refugees and the Muslim community.
