Race 3 – The TASSI CLASSIC is just weeks away (26/27 August).

We’re excited! It’s the club’s ASSA (Australian Sleddog Sports Association) point score race of the season and this one is going to be HUGE, with both local and mainland competitors racing.

Race 3 will be offering the following classes:
1, 2/3, 4 dog
Novice / Junior / 1 and 2 dog touring
Canicross (including junior Canicross)
PeeWees / Mini PeeWees

Race 3 will be held at the Rivers Edge Wilderness Camping Ground, Lonnavale, an hour’s drive South of Hobart. Camping is available on site.
The club is delighted to announce that Darren Scragg, who is the ASSA President and also a fellow musher from South Australia will be our Race Marshal for the event.
The committee would love to see old and new faces at the race, even if it’s just for spectating this incredible sport. There are classes to suit the competitive to those that just wish to go for a run with their dogs at their own pace.
This is a fun, family friendly club and is open to all breeds of dogs who love to run.

Date: Saturday/Sunday 26/27 August
Location: Rivers Edge Wilderness Camping Ground (1 hr drive from Hobart)

Come and check out our dog powered sports club, dryland racing their dogs, with all medium and large dogs encouraged to get involved. This is a great way to keep humans and pooches fit and healthy while having fun.
