It’s on again…. the designed;made designers’ market!
This Sunday in the Princes Walf No. 1 shed (near Salamanca)
See a snapshot here: http://www.fda.com.au/designedmade.htm
designed; made will as always, feature a mix of furniture, jewellery, ceramics, glass, fashion, homewares, accessories, gifts and more, from over 50 of Tasmania’s best artisans and designers.
There will be lots of new work from designers who haven’t been part of designed; made before, as well as quite a few familiar faces. The furniture design students from UTAS are back, and for the first time there will be musical interludes on Tasmanian designed and made guitars and violins.
We hope you will be able to come down and see the work, meet the makers, or just catch up with friends for a fine coffee from Shoebox Cafe and yummy food from Urban Bounty and Mountain Pepper Pizzas
We’ll be open from 9.30am till 3.30pm.
I have attached a couple of images of previous markets, as well as some images of Mark Gilbert’s guitars, which feature superb Tasmanian timbers and Tasmanian themes such as the Thylacine and the Spotted Quoll. Mark is achieving international sales with his signature guitars, including for Los Angeles-based Wolf Mail and Hong Kong Blues artist Tommy Chung, as well as Australian identities including Steve Balbi of Noiseworks.

Please forward this to anyone you feel should know and attend!
